    A request for your help!!!

Well, I have been careful. I have followed the What would Hamish do theory and I have asked my wife's advice. And I am still stuck.
So here is a plea to the good people of Xmarks to help me out.

I head off to Asilomar at the end of the week (And am excited to meet up with a few of the Nor Cal rabble thanks to Panache and his lovely wife.) and I am planning my outfits.
Now, for lack of a Haloween costume, I will be wearing this to the Friday ball.

I think it looks pretty good and I am happy with it.

Now, there's also a ball on Saturday. It's billed as White tie, but after speaking to some of the organizers I can say quite positively that it should be billed as Black tie.
I know I will be wearing my Black Braemar and waistcoat with it. I know that I will be wearing my Macdonald of Clanranald Ancient Kilt with matching blue garter ties and blue cravat.
However, I have three pairs of hose and two sporrans to choose from.

    Here are my options:

First, green hose with black and white sporran:

Second, Oatmeal hose with black and white sporran:

And, finally, brown hose with brown sporran:

Now, normally I would go for the brown hose and sporran because I like them, but the sporran is on it's last legs. It just doesn't look as snappy up close as it does from far away. And I don;t have the time to work on it and make it lovely again.

    So, what say you?

I'll vote for the oatmeal hose with black/white sporran. Whatever you wear, have a great time and enjoy the fabulous scenery!

    Arlen,

Of the three I should take option #1 (the green)

I might have a black domino mask you could use for the Masquerade

I second Panache's vote. ACtually, I'd mix the tan sporran with the green sox, but that's just me.

I think the green hose looks really sharp.

I like the green best as well.

I personally think the green hose with the black and white sporran is the way to go. Very elegant indeed.
