Revenge of the Sith (Clan Destine kilt at a Scottish Country Dance)

Last night the Lovely Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I attended one of the local monthly dance parties here in the Bay Area.

Almost 2 years ago we attended our first dance after a whopping three classes. Needless to say we were a bit overwhelmed. One valuable lesson I learned that night came from observing a slender lady with stylish short hair. Unlike every other lady in attendence who tried to compete with colors and patterns the kilted finery of the gents, she wore a simple elegant black dress. Subsequently she really stood out in the crowd.

Thus the Panache Law was born:

A lady in an elegant black dress trumps the best gentleman's kilted outfit

I wondered if a kilted fellow could have the best of both worlds

It must have worked because during one of the breaks I had a number of people gather about me who were quite interested in the black on black Stillwater Shadow Tartan. They were very impressed that it was wool and so relatively inexpensive.

By the by, my thanks to Glen. I have worn this outfit to class and when asked what clan the tartan was I reponded "Sith". (no one got it )
In contrast "Clan Destine" got many laughs!

    Cheers

    Jamie

I'm liking the ensemble. It has a Johnny Cash feel to it.

I would have guessed the Cash clan (Johnny), or the Black clan.

    "Clan Sith" "Clan Destine"?

See you on the dark side, Panache! You look great!
