Rocky & Kelly feed my Need for Tweed

First a word or two about Rocky and Kelly at USAKits. They made my first made to measure kilt and come to think of it - my second made to measure kilt as well. Though I doubt I could pick them out of a line-up I am happy to call them friends. When I contacted Rocky for that first kilt, I had some - shall we say - strong ideas about how I wanted it pleated. Rocky kindly and patiently explained to me what was and was not possible from a kilt makers standpoint. That conversation was my introduction into the complexities that lie beneath our seemingly simple kilts.

Its true that Rocky and Kelly create beautiful quality kilts. Its true they treat their customers like good friends. Its also true they live eat sleep and breath this stuff. Forget TomKat - say goodbye to Bradjolena - RocKelly are the new "it" couple and they rock the kilted world!

And now Mr. Mac on with the show...

This tweed kilt is beautiful. I love the color and the fabric is different from the usual worsted wool found in a tartan kilt. Its softer and more supple. The construction is - of course - impeccable with a sharp eye to fit and finish. Rocky somehow machine sews the pleats from the inside of the kilt so there is no overstitching as you'd see on other machine sewn kilts - heck there's no visible stitching what so ever - the look is amazing.

This kilt fits like a glove and I love the look of olive tweed with a gold overcheck. Am a very happy kilted man? Will I be back for more? Oh yes I think I will!!!!

That is a beautiful kilt. You have every right to be proud of it, as Rocky for making it.

That just looks wonderful, very nice work indeed, congratulations Phil I'm sure you will treasure this one, I think it looks simply smashing with the bow tie and cap, very well put together outfit.
