For Ron - Some Page, AZ photos

    http://knightvisions.net/page.htm

This is the website of a friend of mine, showcasing some of her shots. I think she is just an amazing photographer, and she just got back from a trip to Page, Az and a few other places.

Her photos of the canyons have always mezmerized me, and has led directly to their being placed on the short list of places to go.

I thought you might appreciate these Ron, as would anyone else who loves natures beauty. BTW, I told her to keep an eye out for a long haired kilted dude when she was out there, and she was disappointed she never ran into you.

.. the kilt had concealed a blaster strapped to one thigh and a knife to the other. He was aware of the present gentle customs against personal weapons, but he felt naked without them. Such customs were nonsense anyhow, foolishment from old women - there was no such thing as "dangerous weapons," only dangerous people.

Those are photos of what are known as "slot canyons." There's a number of them in northern Arizona & southern Utah. If those were taken near Page, then your friend was probably in Antelope Canyon or Buckskin Gulch (the longest slot canyon in the world). Her photos look to me like they're from Antelope Canyon.

It's a whole other world down in those canyons, but ya gotta be careful this time of year during the monsoon season as a sudden flood can wash through them with tremendous force from a storm miles away that you're not even aware of!

That whole Four Corners area can keep a photographer busy for several lifetimes, there's just so much amazing & varied scenery in a comparatively small geographic area.

    Thanks for sharing her pics!

Arizona is just such a strange place. I have seen pictures like those before. I need to get north some time and see those in person.

It takes special eye for composition to see beyond the objects in the photo. This girl has the gift.
