Rumney Folk Festival 2010

This year our Folk Festival is going to be in October and in a different format. It shall commence on the evening of Fri 15th Oct as a regular folk club night in our usual venue, and on Sat 16th we shall take the music and festival 'On Tour'. We are going to hire a few small buses to take us around the many little pubs off the beaten track up in the mountains and waterfall country, having a music session in each one. The route will take us on quite a scenic one as well, and there will be an chance to stretch the legs here and there. So today I have started working the route plan.

Anyone on x marks are welcome to join us if you able to make it. Some pics ..

Hello Derek,

Thoroughly enjoyed myself last year and would be interested this time. How are you proposing that the 'camp followers' get round. Would they be on the busses or make their own way round?

Derek, you know me! I am most certainly 'up' for the weekend - health permitting. I have no idea how I will be by then, but I have pencilled it into my diary just in case!!

I do SO wish I could be there. I just don't think a second trip to the UK is in the works this year.

Ham ... your room is already secured. Will speak over the weekend.
Chas ... we will all travel on the buses together .. there will be a small charge, not sure how much yet. There are many hotels, guest houses within a short distance of the venue. I can give anyone info if they want it. There will be over 70 of us on the trip.
Ham has been with us before on the route we will be taking, and will be an experienced tour guide ...
