    S.H.O. Buchanan Modern Hunting

I have gotten all of my PV kilts from Skye Highland and been pleased so I commissioned my first wool kilt from them to receive for Easter. Due to an issue with the mill they could not procure the tartan I had wanted but were able to get an alternate tartan choice and to me in time for Easter. Unusually it was damp, wet and cool in SoCal at the sunrise service at my wife's church followed by Mass. There was a light rain falling when we arrived home for these pics. This is a great kilt, nice and warm and Josh and crew did a great job with the pleating.

Splendid! Well turned out. But I see that we've gone without flashes. Rather daring. Very devil-may-care for a church service.

Great outfit, well presented, love the sporran, but I'm not sure I would have taken those shoes to church.

Yes, well my wife's Church service was outdoors in the grass and it was very damp and misting mixed with a little rain. Appropriate for the circumstances to my mind.

    Credit where credit due..

the sporran is from Donnie at Wyvern Leatherworks, this is the Father's Knot design and for my faith tradition very appropriate for the day. Donnie is a great craftsman and a real gentleman.

    An outdoor ceremony? How wonderful!!

Yes, I would have to agree. Leather-soled shoes would have been a very bad choice in damp grass I think. Good call.
