| | | Scotch Creek
So winding through the San Juan Mountains on Colorado 145, just a little bit south of Rico, is Scotch Creek.
Figured I could at least check it out for the whisky drinkers on the board...
Looks pretty light to really be Scotch whisky...maybe thinned out with too much water from the snow runoff in the warm weather.
Sorry single malt guys - not even a hint of the aroma of Scotch from the creek.
It is a tributary of the Colorado River by way of the Dolores River and the San Juan River so Scotch Creek is okay by me.
Kilt is USA Kilts semi-trad in Gunn Modern.
Ron

Keep 'em coming. Seriously, I get a brief glimpse once a year when we visit my sister in Santa Fe so your pics are a great shot in the arm. I can smell that air!!
Don't get me wrong, Savannah, and the lowcountry are beautiful places... but when we "smell" the air here it means one of two things: it's low tide or the paper mill has had a "discharge".
Thanks again.

I certainly might enjoy a wee dram if I were there!

What a hoot, Ron. Perhaps the waters are perfect in releasing the aroma of single malt?
