    Scotish Festival / Highland games

Today we went to the biggest Scotish festival in the Netherlands.

    Was fun!

    Robin, Thanks for the Pics

I almost decided to come up for the festival, but just could not quite get away from work this year. May try next year. Is it generally held the same time each year?

Are there any other scottish/gaelic festivals you could recommend here on the Continent this summer?

I'm going to the Kaltenberg Rittertounier (a really big jousting show with a middle-ages theme) July 14th. Been several times but it gets expensive.

    Best wishes,
    Tom

    Uhh...dunno

These are just a few pictures...there was much more...dogs, sheep, celtic music, bagpipes, Irish and scotish dancers, archery, reenactment groups, big guys throwing heavy things, food, shops...and lots of kilts

    I found:

1 pair of navy blue flashes.
1 pair of MacLaren tartan hose (whoopie!!!!)
2 pair of grey with green tops hose (viva la difference!)

I'm glad you had a great time, Now I'll definitely have to plan for next year!
I went to about 4 when I was in the USA last year. I'm really missing the experience this year.

Presumably this was the Schots Festival at the Hollandse Biesbosch at Dordrecht. Looks as though it was fun.

    Thumbs up

Definitely it seems to have been a great day, and as always, even with mud on ur boots, u showed a great colour combination. Once again... simply perfect!
