At a Scottish Country Dance

Last night our Scottish Country Dance class had it's last session for the year. It was a dance and potluck. There was a live band and the class was told to dress up for the occasion. The Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess and I dressed up and went! Though we are still the newest members of the class we did pretty well. This was the first outing of my formal rig. Truth be told, I think in the future I will stick to just a nice renaissance faire / jacobite shirt.
I don't know how Hamish survived doing Highland Dance in his formalwear. Luckily it was very chilly outside so I would duck out between sets to cool off. Otherwise I would have sponteanously combusted. We both had a lot of fun and look forward to continued Scottish Country Dancing in the New Year.

The F-H.C.A.G. took a video of one of the dances but I am hesitant to put this up online because I didn't ask permission from everyone attending the dance.

Looks like it was a lot of fun.

We have a group here in Memphis that meets on Friday evenigs. If I can ever get my wife over her lothing of kilts I'd like to join them.

That's what I thought at first but as I looked at it I realized that it looks just like the kind of garters you'd wear with a dress uniform. Maybe it's just the angle or somethin'.
