At the Scottish Heritage Festival Albany

We enjoyed a quick visit to the Scottish Heritage Festival in Albany, OR yesterday. It was cool and rainy so we brought the dogs along for the ride. Here is Kelly (in a US Army USAK) taking the girls for a spin.

New shirt? I'm wearing a Wallace Catanach original kilt here: Robertson hunting.

Hose galore, I am lucky to have a knitting mom

Sir James macDonald Pipe Band. They were quite good, although the drummers all looked rather unhappy.

Too bad for the rain. It was a sunny day in KC.

Oh, it was held inside. This time of year it's pretty much guaranteed to rain at least part of each day. Actually it's better --that means we can leave the dogs in the truck...by summer they have to stay home in the shade.

By May it's a little safer--the Scottish Festival in Eugene will be May 17 this year--it is held predominanatly outdoors and usually gets pretty good weather. Unfortunately they always schedule it the same time as my choir's largest concert so I have to miss it. Bummer!

Yes, we can all hope for good weather. I would rather be a participant than a spectator any day.
