This is the first paragraph from the front page which explains it rather well.

The Scottish Studies Foundation is a Canadian charitable organization established to encourage research, both inside and outside universities, in Scottish culture -- history, literature, religion, art, law, and in Scottish migrations to North America; and to publish historical studies and documents relating to Scottish culture and migrations.

Basically the boat cruise is to raise money.

It is an anual thing, the cost is $20.00 each, well worth it I think.

Thanks Glen - I see it all now. How fantastic for you, a real injection of Scottish culture, right on your own doorstep. I feel so jealous. Thanks again for posting.
