You, Sir, are a saint. I consider myself lucky, just to read about your exploits and your trips with your darling wife. She is truly lucky to have a husband like you. Keep up the beautiful photography and Happy ANNiversary.

Anne is looking well and it sounds like a fun trip. (although being robbed twice in two days really sucks!)

What a wonderful trip for both of you, Ann looks like she's having a great time. Sorry about the pick-pockets, or sporran pickers. Maybe you should put your money in your shoe-seriously.

Frank | Well done. And, I'm outraged at those tea-leaves. I'm glad it was only money they went for - passports and credit cards are a huge pain to deal with.
But, well done!
Cheers, Graham.

Glad you had a good trip in spite of the pickpockets.

Congratulations on your silver wedding. It is just a shame that Fuengirola seems to have become a thieves' paradise. Were they locals?

| The locals like to blame the high theft rate on Moroccans and East Europeans.
The five youths looked like Spaniards to me.
The man who threw the shit looked Spanish but spoke reasonable English.
I think it is human nature, though racist, to blame other nationalities for social problems. I watched a recent British television documentary about the sharp rise in pickpocketing in London and they were blaming the problem on Turks and Rumanians who have a right to come and live here now that these countries have joined the European Community.

The reason I asked was when I was in Fuengirola there were a lot of young timeshare touts pestering people. They seemed mostly British and obviously happy to do anything for money. So I wonder if this is another money-making activity of theirs? According to the news the Costa del Sol is being hit hard economically these days so it's maybe not too surprising. A sad day when they pick on obviously vulnerable targets such as you with Ann in a wheelchair but I suppose that is the cowardly nature of their behaviour. I take it the local police were as usual conspicuous by their absence. They must know what is going on but just turn a blind eye.
