Smallpipes
I took delivery of my smallpipes last week made by my friend Colin Winstanley, I absolutly love the tone of them, they are mouth blown and have 3 drones and play in the key of A (they come in around 444) they have a elabourate moisture control system that colin has patented, becasue the reeds a e very small there are major moisture control issues.

Heres the tiny drone reeds

Congratulations. I wish I had not given up the pipes, of course it's not to late to go back ot them.

TRUE! It is never too late...I tried to convince a 66 year old to take up drumming and a 77 year old to take up piping (they didn't take me up on this fine offer!).
You should take up your pipes again!

Those look good! I have a set made by John Walsh. Maybe you could put up a video of you playing...?

Those look awesome!
Man, I wish I could play the pipes… I better e-mail that professor to see if he found an instructor yet… or just wait till the money comes (yay getting more money for tuition than I need!) and get that John Cairns set of books…
But, back on topic, those look remarkable to the eye of someone who knows nothing about bagpipes except that they sound good!

Great lookin' pipes Daz,
those look very skilled crafted. How long did you learn on a practice chanter before you got the real pipes?
