SoCal Sojourn
The family and I took a little jaunt down to the Southern California last weekend, so I thought I'd share a couple of pics.
Our first stop was Hollywood: Here's the cast of Star Trek's hand prints signatures at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and the Capitol Records Building

Next stop the Farmer's Market (good place to eat and browse):

The next day I hooked up with James MacMillan for a visit to the Queen Mary Games in Long Beach. (Picture of us and Yaish stolen from JM)
JM reported on the games in this thread, but he seems to have left out the part where the young woman approached me from behind to say I had the "sexiest" kilt there. Well if its any consolation, I picked up an advertisement and suggested that JM sign up for the Sexiest Kilt Contest to be held at Muldon's Pub in Newport Beach
As usual our visit included Legoland in Carlsbad, where I almost went home with a new family (much quieter, but not as cuddly.)

All-in-all, a great visit!
Best regards,
Jake

Jake,
It looks like a fun trip. I must note:

Bragging about all the young women who flock to you simply to admire you in your kilted finery is a bit vulgar isn't it? You never see Grant posting about his numerous interactions with the lassies wishing to admire him...
...err
...hmmm
...well
...OK maybe that was a bad example.

Jake, I am so sorry I missed your visit to our little part of the state. One day real soon I might travel up to Nor Ca for a kilt night. Hope the family enjoyed themselves.

Does the Capitol Records building really sit like the tower of pisa? The street lights are certainly straight up.
