| | | SOKS Burns Night 2010-Gang Aft Agley
Last night was our 3rd Annual Burns Night Supper. This one was by far the most successful, however as Burns said; "The Best schemes o' mice and men gang aft agley" I am surprised the night went as well as it did. The day started with Mark and I going out to the Kings Arms to set up. We got to the Kings Arms and started setting up the room for the evenings festivities, Mark went to move his truck and the drive shaft hit the ground, well this was just the beginning, suffice to say that most everything we tried to do was for naught and we both thought this would never work.
As it turns out it was the best Burns Night we've ever had, and the most enjoyable I've ever attended. Thanks to all who came it really is the guests who make a Burns Night special, and each and everyone of you made last night a Burns Night for the books, one I'm sure Rab himself would have loved to attend.
So now on with the pictures from last night, video to follow.
I thought it was important to have a wee toast to Retro Red, Craig Saylors he was a member of xmarks, unfortunately he passed away suddenly last due to pancreatic cancer.
Pipping in the Haggis
The haggis filling the groaning trencher.
Bill Richardson who was to slay the wee beastie, though he had a few choice words for me first.
As lang's my arm.
Our honour guard for the haggis
more photos to come.

Excellent pics, Glen, looks like a great night had by all despite the difficulties earlier in the day.
All's well that ends well.

Like to second Glen's comments that it was a great evening. The haggis was plentiful and the band terrific. Thanks to Glen and spouse for putting it together.
