    Sportkilt USMC MARPAT

I ran the Marine Corps Marathon back in 1996, my first marathon of three and had this patch but I did not want to just sew in onto anything, so I bought this MARPAT Sportkilt and had my work wife sew it on for me. She put in a galvanized washer in the middle of the patch and sewed it on first by hand and then machine stitched the USMC patch. I will wear this kilt with pride.

I bought the long-sleeved t-shirt before the marathon, I think this looks good for a trip to the bar or beach.

Very cool and looking good! You SHOULD wear it with pride! A friend of mine is running the Marine Corps Marathon this year.

I only ran the marathon; I am not a Marine so I would not be entitled the pride or honor to wear the Globe and Anchor.

The shirt and kilt work well together.

Very cool! And it all still fits (including the shirt!). As a one time long distance runner (now a maintenance runner) I have to say... runners got leg! Kilt leg!!

This running season I plan on wearing my USAF ABU Freedom Kilt for my events (I'm no marine... a 1/2 marathon will do nicely, thanks). I'll probably wear my Air Force PT shorts for support. Anybody run long distance in their kilts?

I haven't run long in a kilt, but this last Sunday I ran the local 5 K Breast Cancer Run for the Cure in my Sportkilt, and it was fine. I wore tight running shorts under it. My wife wore her mini-Sportkilt over long tights. We got a lot of good comments, questions and smiles!
