Springfield Area Stag Burn's Supper 08

Ok, here are the pics that I took of my first participation in the Stag Burn's supper. I believe it was organized by Todd and friends and if I am not mistaken, this was the fifth one. Our host location was the historic Dickey House B&B in Marshfield, Missouri. It was a beautiful location, which I didnt think to take a picture of. Without further ado, here are the pics of the men with no wives to keep them in line!

Me getting a "before pic" with my motorcycle Roxie. (No, I didnt ride kilted, the black car behind was my ride for the evening).

The kilt looks low, but it is mostly the angle of the pics. (6 ft tall girlfriend for a tripod)

Our own Todd N' Company preparing the haggis

After the procession giving the fiddler a dram

During the first post our fiddler, also a harpist entertained us while we ate. He played beautifully. Regretablly I cant remember his name.

Todd swinging the knife about during the Address to a Haggis

The rabble seated for a delicious meal! Our own Robertson is seated closest to the camera on the right. Todd and I are near center.

The desert. I thought it worth of a pic!

Stag Burn's Cont.

Todd giving us a poem, I believe

Another humorous poem (not Burn's) from Champ w/ Todd in background.

Ride tam ride

Hmm, this one precedes an event better never spoken of again. . . Funny but oh so wrong.

Me an' the fiddler giving a tune, might just be "A Man's a Man"

Final bit I think

Ok, heres the last of them. You can check out my photobucket album if you want some more. I just didnt want to put them all up here. Not 56k friendly.

I dont remember the name of this tune, but the fiddler and I had a quick jam session and put it together. It was wonderful!

Heres Robertson delivering his bit o' Burns

Ok, thats it. Todd, feel free to correct me on any errors in my posting. It was a wonderful night filled with good camarderie, joyful voice, and fine spirits!

It was a key lime flavoured cheesecake I do believe. Tasted even better than it looked!
