Well I don't know whether I would get away with wearing them, but they certainly suit you. We don't see horizontal stripes very often, or for that matter vertical stripes. I wonder why not? They certainly make a pleasant change from a 'one colour' hose.

    Regards

I seem to remember JSFMACLJR talking about someone in Scotland wearing horizontally striped hose, and saying they went well with the kilt.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

    Thumbs up

I've never seen hose quite like those myself but I like, I like. You wear the whole outfit very well.

I've never seen horizontally striped hose before. The colors there work quite well with the tartan you wearing. Nicely done!

I LOVE STRIPED HOSE!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your look!!!! I wish more people would be daring enough to kick the look around! Here is a pic of my un-official uniform for this past summer. No kidding, I wore my USA Kilts Casual IoS almost everyday of the summer including my 3 day drive across the states from Atlanta to California. If I had to wear hose, I wore my matching IoS tartan stripes hose. They were met with about half "Umm..." and hald "THOSE ARE AWESOME". None the less, I love this combo and I love to see others going for the stripe!!! Good on ya!!!

Looks like they work well when they co-ordinate with the kilt colours!

When I played rugby for Georgia State University, we played a welsh coal miner's team that were on tour. They had an entourage of family and fans with them and one of them had a kilt in the teams colors with matching striped hose to the tartan. The rugby team also wore the same style striped hose...Anyway, I always thought that it looked really sharp. I have run into a few traditionalist while wearing mine that absolutely didn't like them. Go figure...
