    Swaledale, North Yorkshire

Just got back from four days away hiking around a little known Yorkshire Dale called Swaledale. Its a little gem. I also took one of my acoustic guitars and we had a magic night in the local pub in the village we were staying, playing till just after 4am. Was a blast. The weather was very favourable to us.
Heres one pic. Took loads of pics and will post them up in a couple of days.

Great preview pic, Derek, looking forward to seeing more. The pub lock in till 4am sounds like an adventure in itself!

That photos a classic, Derek. It should be used by the tourism board. So glad you had a great time!

Alex ... I guess it was an adventure in itself, but it was all totally unplanned and we just let it unfold and had a great time with the locals. We used to get to Swaledale to play about 3 or 4 times a year for over long weekends for more than 12 years and then since we eased back doing gigs further afield we havent got up there for many years. So it was great to go back.
Tartan Tess... As we came down from the top of the crags, the right of way took us through a working farm. The tarmac track that Elaine took the pic on was their own track to get them up to their farm.

Derek: Love the picture. Looks like a scene out of "All Creatures Great and Small". Can't wait to see the others.
