    Swinging Carlisle

    I was swinging around Carlisle yesterday & I thought you might like to see some pictures--
    This is a picture of the plaque to commemorate the visit of Thomas Woodrow Wilson, to Carlisle, where his father was minister of the church. Also his mother was born here

    This is the church

    The following pictures are of the Cathedral & the Castle, which were built in the 11th century by William Rufas.- Son of William the Conqueror who invaded Britton in 1066.

    Good ones, David, thanks for posting them. The incredible craftsmanship displayed in the stonework is something I truly appreciate.

    Carlisle city council--They are blaming it on the floods we had 18 months ago
