    Tartan Waistcoat from Lady Chrystel

As I was leaving for a concert in Burgundy, France, I took notice that Lady Chrystel was working on something I have been worshiping for a while…

    A Tartan Waistcoat…

Indeed I have seen a few here on XMTS and I was always very impressed by this rather dressy celebration of the tartan !

As many of you fellow Xmarkers enjoyed my previous thread on the Argyll and waistcoat made by my sweet Lady Chrystel, here are a few more pictures I would like to share with you.

This is where things were when I left last Thursday…

She didn’t mention anything about it on the phone this whole weekend so I simply assumed she put it aside for a while to enjoy summer outside in the garden with our two young daughters.

When I got back home yesterday, Chrystel told me about new customers on the internet, so on and so forth….

Then my eyes were attracted by something dazzling…

There it was ! Finished !

This is what it looks like on me…

And a few details of the tiny hand sewing work.

Whilst not being a huge fan of tartan waistcoats myself, there is no doubt that you are wearing, yet another work of art there Robert. Congratulations all round.

Like Jock, I'm not a big fan of tartan waistcoats but I must admit that you look particularly dashing in your new outfit.

I must ask though - what are the clothes behind you - looks like 18th century apparel. Is it yours?

Robert what can I say, it is wonderful and you cut quite the figure in the new waistcoat. I'd love to see what the effect would be under a Sherrifmuir Doublet or similar.

    Robert,

Isn't it great to be married to such talent! :-) You look marvelous, and no doubt Lady Chrystel thinks so, as well!
