    Video seems to play OK - are the "sparklies" simply video artifacts, or did you run a Super-8 filter to make it look like that?

    I dunno. At my advanced age, any foray into techno-land is fraught with peril. I merely used VideoImpress to clip out a section of an AVI created with my Canon camera and convert it to MPEG1 format. My guess is that the sparklies are artifacts (is that the same as fossils?)

    LOL, great line! And if you meant it seriously, it is even funnier. The sparklies are likely from the conversion process, but can also be caused by the speed of the viewer's connection to the Internet, although slower speed usually cause jerkiness in the playback and not the sparkiles.

    Cool reminded me a bit of that guy from the Alaskan wilderness who filmed himself building his cabin with only a swiss army knife.
