    Teviotdale Kilt's Maiden Flight

First time out today in the new Teviotdale Kilt. Took Ann to the airport terminal for her lunch and later to the shops at the gateway shopping centre at Gretna Green. While at the airport I flew a radio navigation exercise with another pilot and an instructor (two flights as you do one as pilot and one looking on from the back seat).

    Teviotdale Kilt beside the Warrior.

Soon we are climbing away from the airport.

    Kilted in the back seat.

Rate one turn at four thousand feet.

Not much legroom in economy class

The low afternoon sun provided some good cloud scapes.

A break in the clouds gives a brief glimpse of the Solway Coast near Gretna.

Lovely sunset looking west but it looks like a shower down below.

That tartan is smashing. I always enjoy the air photos too.

Beautiful cloudscapes, Alex - surpassed only by the beauty of the Teviotdale tartan!

Now that is the tartan I should have since my name is Dale. Never heard of it before this.

Great shots Alex. I just thought if Dee gets that much leg room over the pond we'll have to spend most of the weekend straightening out
