| | | Tres Amigos - Phoenix Kilt Knight
We had a mini-kilt night last night in the Phoenix area to welcome Streetcar to the home of Super Bowl XLII. Seeing as it was on a week night & on short notice, our numbers were few, but we had a great time with food, drink & friendship. Streetcar brought a friend & former co-worker of his up in Seattle who now lives & works in Chandler. Ayin McFye brought a fellow Sonoran Scotsman friend, Tim (who wasn't kilted).
We met at the Scottsdale Tilted Kilt & before we left we had a couple photos taken to share with the Rabble. El Tres Amigos - Streetcar, me (Retro Red - yes, I bleached my hair) & Ayin McFye El Tres Amigos with some of the lovely waitstaff at Tilted Kilt
Thanks for coming to visit, Streetcar; I hope you had a great time!

You know, I can make out you guys fine in the first picture, but for the life of me I can't seem to focus on anything but the four lasses in the second picture.

Like Retro Red, or Retro Blonde said it was just a few of us sharing drinks, stories, and good times. The tilted kilt definitely has some nice scenery.
February 23rd we'll all be getting together in mass force though, when the AZ highlands games takes place. If anyone has a chance to make it, you definitely should.

I did have a great time, thanks! It was good to meet Ayin and Tim, and always good to see Retro Red again.
However, before I left, Oldhiker charged me with educating these poor girls about proper kilt wear.
To start, these poor girls were wearing their kilts far too high above the knee, and sitting WELL below the navel. Additionally, they wore their sporrans off to the side, and had them secured with (gasp) chains! And we all know what sporran chains can do to a kilt with time.
Their hose, while of proper height, wasn't of stout wool - rather it seemed to be of some diaphonous, silky material that clung to every gentle curve of their calves........
In other words, it worked perfectly on them....
