    Tribute to a Fallen Clansman

I wanted to post a couple of pictures of a fellow member of the Clan Fraser Society of North America who passed away this week. Dan Frazier was an unforgettable character, full of knowledge (he was a lawyer) and quick with a joke (favorite Dan joke, Why do Scotsmen wear kilts? Because sheep can hear a zipper a mile away.) Due to back surgery Dan had wasted away over the last few months. Here are some pics from happier times:

    We'll miss you buddy.

    Mark,

Sorry for the loss of your friend.
I will be remembering his family and you in my thoughts and prayers today.
Did he ever make it up to Grandfather or Loch Norman Games??
I really believe I had met him at one of the games.

Ask not for whom the bell tolls...

Sad, how's your son doing with it?

    Love the snakeskin hat!

Thanks and yes, he was usually at GMHG and Loch Norman. I think Loch Norman this year was the final game he attended.

Ron, thanks for asking. My son turned 15 this week and so he's been a little preoccupied with growing older. We're attending a memorial service today and I think it will hit him a lot harder then. Dan thought a lot of both my boys. He gave them a sword a few years ago and the last time we were at Dan's house he gave Jon an animal skin to....do whatever one does with an animal skin. Clean it, tan it, stretch it....whatever.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I will convey them to the family today. We are having a Scottish funeral complete with bagpipes. The family has asked that everyone wear Scottish attire as that is what Dan would've wanted. Je Suis Prest!
