    Trip to Jasper and Banff

We decided the break in the wife's new Santa fe by taking an 1100 km road trip around a bit of the rockies. It is so nice to have land like this in our "back yard".

    ....and then,

    Striking a pose

Heading down the trail to the base of the falls

Sigh, apparently what goes down must go up

A nice view, and all in our back yard, so to speak;)

Wow, fabulous photographs. Awesome scenery. I have taken a flight across the Rockies from Calgary to Vancouver
but nothing could beat the actual experience of Banff and Jasper on the ground. Absolutely brilliant!

Thank-you for posting your pictures, Wolfman, They are beautiful.
It has been some years since I have trod those grounds and you help me to remember it fondly.

Nice matching BWs you've both got going on there.

The wife and I took the same trip last year but did it in one day. We thought this year it would be nice to take a few days and show the girls the beauty we saw the year pior.
We think it is vital that the girls grow up appreciating the outdoors, and our wonderful land as much as we do.

Those are some beautiful shots. Thanks for posting them.

It's amazing how the rocks formed into equally-spaced steps, don't you think?
