    Turning 40...Kilted

Had my 40th birthday party this past weekend (18 with 22 years experience). Good beer, good barbecue, and good friends. What more could you need?

    A kilt, of course.

A good time was had by all. Sorry for the quality of the pics...it was pretty late in the evening.

And, that SWK Economy continues to exceed my expectations (especially since taming a few rebel pleats there).

I'm thinking UK Original next, to hold me over until SWK's stock is replenished. Now...tan or olive, tan or olive...

And, I just remembered. I owe you all the story of my flight to meet the wife in Cali witht eh new kilt.

    Well...

Her jaw hit the floor. She was NOT expecting that AT ALL.

But, then again, that was the plan. I am the master of surprise. Just ask her about the surprise birthday brunch I threw for her, where she almost walked out of the shower right intoa room full of people.

Anyway, once the initial shock wore off, she came around pretty quick. I wish there was more to tell, but at least it had a happy ending.

And, on Saturday night, I handed out a few SWK business cards to some of our guests at my party. One friend of mine has an expensive handmade wool kilt, that doesn;'t see a lot of party usage. I suspect he will be ordering one soon (or three, or four).

Another friend just really dug it and wanted one.

Great looking kilt. I'd go with a tan original UK... but that's just me.
