Tweed Kilt A Hit at Quechee Festival

This last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the Quechee Scottish Festival in Quechee Vermont. It was a wonderful event and day. Normally I am a Utilikilt wearer but I decided to wear my Lochcarron Medlem Tweed 4 yard casual kilt for a change. I was very surprised how many people commented on it at the event. Several people thought the whole outfit was a really nice and refreshing look so I have posted a photo that was taken by another X-Marks member, "ctbuchanan". I would like to thank him for taking the photo and it was nice to meet one of the other members of the board.

Man, that looks sharp! I'm looking for the fabric for my next kilt. I may just have to find me some tweed. You've put it together well too.

Nice kilt! I have the same experience, whenever I wear one of my tweed kilts out to a Highland Games. I think it's just different enough, yet still traditional, that it gets a lot of attention.

    Enjoy!

I did pull Mr. Ackerman aside at our clan tent to remark on his very well put together kilt and accessories. The picture does not do full justice as he made a very respectable showing at the games. I was not at all surprised to find him an XMarks member.

It was a pleasure meeting you. Hope to see you at more games.

Look at Scottish guys wearing kilts - you could look at them and laugh, but the way they carry themselves, how can you? If you believe in it, that's what makes it cool.Andre Benjamin - American Rapper (formerly known as Dre) Songwriter and Musician

That is handsome. OK, I might have to put a tweed kilt back on my "to-make" list someday.

I've had a desire for a tweed kilt for a while now, and pictures like this aren't helping me ignore it.

That's a fine looking kilt you have there, sir.
