Two new kilts this month. I guess I am committed now.

So I enjoyed my casual kilt from USAKilts so I bought two wool kilts. I guess this means I am committed to wearing the kilt now eh? The first is a Burnett's and Struth casual in Kidd Modern. The second is a USAKilts 5 yard wool in Kidd Ancient.

I realize they aren't great pictures, hope to get better pictures out of the house soon. The USAKilts is fresh out of the box so a bit wrinkly but I had to put it on and see how it looks.

'Watched the compass chase its tail like a cat at play--
That was on the Bolivar, south across the Bay.

Yes sir, now that you've got a few kilts, you're just going to have to wear them!

Looking good. I especially like the colors on the Ancient. I'm currently trying to decide on my first wool kilt from either USA or Burnett's. How would you cmpare the two in terms of quality and is there a big difference in pleats and swing between the 4 yard and 5 yard kilts?
    Thanks,
    Remy

Well I am no expert but both seem very well made. I like the feel of the USAKilts a little better I think though I haven't worn it as much. It is of course a bit heavier (both these are 16 oz). The Burnett's has fewer pleats and a little less swing it seems but is lined where the USAKilt is not.

Right now the Burnett's casual is on sale on certain tartans and is a great deal I think.
