    USA Kilts Tara Tartan

    Rocky has produced another masterpiece!

Ordered on 8 August, shipped on 15 August, arrived on 20 August.

Let me present the Tara Tartan Semi-Traditional (PV) kilt #15:

Just returned home from work and put it on right out of the box.
    Excellent workmanship.
I wanted a second PV kilt to wear to Highland Games. I have the Hay Ancient in PV, which is primarily red based. I wanted something in Green, but not overly fond of the real dark greens. Recommend you go to the USAK site and click on the SemiTraditional Kilt button to see the PV tartans. The Tara material is shown there better than I could show it tonight.

Tara is a hill in Ireland west of Dublin. My wife and I visited the site a couple of years ago. It is where the high kings of Ireland were crowned, so I felt a connection to the name.

Here is a pleat shot from the back:

And here is my cat (Toni) inspecting the new kilt. She later climbed on my lap for a closer look. She like kilts. If one is laid out on the bed, that is where she lays.

I plan on wearing it to the Highland Games in the Czech Republic on the 29th of August. At Sychrov castle, north and east from Prague.

Thanks Rocky for this great new kilt!

    Tom

    Congratulations on the new addition.

As long as you have Tara, with God as my witness, you'll never be hungry again!

    Apologies to Viv Leigh.

My wife expressed some of the same sentiment, but she does like the tartan.

The pictures on my monitor make the dark stripes look brownish, but it is a double red stipe between gold and white stripes.

I'm happy to see it made up; I was told that was an appropriate Irish tartan for my maternal Breazeale forebears. I also like the Georgia/GWTW connection.
