Victoria Highland Games

Here are a few pictures from our games on the weekend. We were lucky with the weather, and there was lots of piping, dancing, and music on Saturday and Sunday.

Our band performed on the Saturday, and we had a chance to wear our new plaids, feather bonnets and crossbelts.

One of the bands in the entertainment tent. This one is Cookeilidh. They played at Rob's house a couple of months ago and are a great group of people.


We were in the massed bands on the Sunday. We were lucky to have two Grade One bands competing: Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band and the current world champions, Simon Fraser University Pipe Band.
Here is some of our family with Cookeilidh. Mrs. Macman, me, my daughter, three members of the band, RobbyMc, and another band member.

Ah, no. I realized I was missing my aviators whilst on the way to the games, so my dear wife loaned me her sunglasses. (Not that Serengetis are any more highland!)
