Here's one taken in Lanark, during the Wallace Homecoming. My very significant other and I displaying a Siol nan Gaidheal banner -

Thank you, Graham, I thought we looked braw in our Lamont tartan.

The flag is a bit of a departure from the usual Siol nan Gaidheal (Seed of the Gael) banners, which are typically black, as in my avatar.

The black is in mourning for Scotland's lost rights, a nation no longer free.

The white is the saltire of St. Andrew, Scotland's patron saint.

The Celtic circular knot symbolizzes the particular and diverse history and culture of the Scottish community, with many strands making the one whole.

The Gaelic 'A' is for Alba, Scotland's ancient name.

SnG were privileged to have taken a large part in the Walk for Wallace events. SnG members served as pall bearers for the Spirit of Wallace coffin, stood guard at the coffin in Lanark (of which I was blessed to take part in) and then were responsible for moving the coffin to St. Kentigern's Kirk, symbolising the Spirit of Wallace home once again.

This is a scene that only about 20 of us were privileged to actually see, once the coffin had been placed within St. Kentigern's -

Since the area for the coffin in not yet completed at St. Kentigern's, the coffin has been moved back to Stirling, where it will lie in state at the Smith Art Gallery & Museum.

If you are interested in seeing the images, there are several taken at the Smith, the day the coffin was moved there from the London portion of the Walk HERE. There are images in several posts in that thread. You will even see a certain band that you are fond of, who were present that day. The little man trying out Jacquie's drum is my lassie's youngest. Kilted at the ripe "old" age of 2! ;)

David, the sporran is bottomless. I absolutely love it. It is the best-looking sporran I've seen and it seems to hold everything I would ever want to carry. I even had my digital camera stuffed in there, while in Lanark, with penty of room to spare.

Mike, those photos are very special on your forum. We were in that museum in Stirling when they were setting up the display and the palce for the coffin.
I spoke with the people who were doing the signwork.

So now I get to see the finished job! very interesting.

Like Lily, we missed it, missed the procession, missed the band, very sad!
