Waterholes Canyon on the Navajo Nation
Was planning to hike today but the winds were 20 to 30 mph all day. Not a problem for the kilt but the blowing sand was rough on the eyes and bare legs. Decided to take a quick exploratory trip to Waterholes Canyon.
Its a slot canyon but wide in many places. Some high pour offs and tempting ledges that seem to get folks in trouble. Seems like most years rescue teams are down there saving someone who got a bit too brave...or stupid.

Was late in the day so not the best light in the canyon itself. Folks hiking out said it was great down there. Gotta explore earlier in the day sometime.
