Very nice, Jock! I've not been to Avranches since I stayed there, en route to my last holiday in Brittany - in 1961!

Also, I now know who to look for when, hopefully, we meet up at Spean Bridge on 5th June. Do you need me to send you a photo, perchance?!!

    Take care,
    Ham.

Wonderful photos Jock, it looks like it was a very happy occasion indeed.

My family came over to Britain in 1066 with the Norman invasion and we still have connections with Normandy.I am very distantly related to the chap in the uniform, the brides father, who lives a few miles north of Avranches.

Hamish.I think I have a fair idea of what you look like,so I won't need to trouble you for a picture!Have a safe journey.
