A weekend with Panache, The F-H.C.A.G and serious dancing!
Well, the long awaited weekend came and went. And Diane and I had an absolutely incredible time.
We headed out to California on Thursday morning to visit with Panache, The F-H.C.A.G, Walkerk and his lovely wife. We saw the Monterey bay aquarium and had a wonderful evening with wonderful hosts.
And then we headed out to Asilomar on Friday morning for three days of dancing and being fancy. And SERIOUS partying.
Here are just a few pictures from the weekend with a link to the Flickr album at the bottom.
At the aquarium we saw many wonderful things... such as jellyfish...
...and otters,
Diane and I got on with everyone like a house on fire... including the wonderful pets...
Jamie and Kent told wonderful stories...
The snakes appreciated my warmth...
And Diane was endlessly impressed with Star's intellect, talent, ability to be super-mom and to continue a good conversation while Jamie entertained the rest us us with his stories. :P
On Halloween Diane wore this wonderful fifties outfit for the 50th anniversary of the Asilomar workshop...
When it came to the Saturday ball we both wore our fanciest outfits and Diane's totally eclipsed mine...
I got all the lads to do 'The Hamish' even though they have no idea how great he is...
And at the end of it all we went to the beach to cool our aching, tired, danced-out feet.
And I can't wait to do it all again next year.

I had been waiting for these!!!! Looks like you had a fantastic trip!
Inside me is a thin woman screaming to get out. But I can usually shut the b*tch up with chocolate!

Looks like you and Diane enjoyed yourselves. The aquarium is a great place to visit. Did you get a chance to try a squid burger?
