Western Navajo
Last weekend's trek to the San Juan Mountains of Colorado started off with a long drive across Western Navajo in Arizona and across the Utah Strip of the Navajo Nation.

Looking down Tsegi Canyon (a hotbed of Anasazi sites) from the over look on Black Mesa.

Good old Monument Valley. Looking back on it from up north on the Utah Strip portion of the Navajo reservation.

The San Juan River at Mexican Hat, Utah.
Kilt is USA Kilts semi-trad in Dress Gordon. T-shirt is from Maui Celtic.

More excellent photos. If I ever have need of a tour guide I know just who to call.

Great pictures as usual, Ron.
You should have shown a picture of the Mexican Hat that the location is named for. I didn't expect it and I thought that was the coolest thing, the first time I saw it.

Hey Mudd,
Did plan to get a picture but the thing turned out to be farther off the main highway than I remembered and there was no place to pull over.
You can probably Google it up on Google Images "Mexican Hat, Utah"
