    What do you think?

I was lucky enough to find Red and White Diced hose at Hector Russell on sale when I took Alex there earlier in the week, so I picked them up and would like your opinion on them with the Montrose Doublet and Royal Naval Tartan. So here are the photos, what do you think?

The hose do call attention to the thin stripes of the tartan on the kilt. From the picture on my monitor I can not tell if there is any red in the tartan. The hose look great. IMHO, I prefer the hose to go with a major colour of the tartan or with the colour of my shirt. I am NOT the kilt police. What is nice is it seems to work well for you.

Sorry, Glen, but I don't think they go with the kilt. There's not enough red or white in the tartan to connect them in my opinion. From the front they just seem to clash. I like the hose and think they'd work great with a different tartan, but not that one.

Well, I for one think the whole get up looks FANTASTIC!
Reminds me of the Black Watch uniforms.

You know, it's amazing how the front and the back of a kilt that is pleated to stripe can look like two completely different kilts.

I totally agree, no red in that kilt but the diced hose looks sharp

I do like the hose but like others have said I don't think that it goes superbly well with that kilt.
