What we did New Years Eve

Catherine and I went to our friends Mark and Joan's house for New Years. It was a great night, we actually rang in the New Year outside, they havea patio with a fireplace and a wood burning stove, there were jams going on all night as most everyone there is a musician, I even sang a bit other than Auld Lang Syne. As usual for one of Mark and Joan's parties everyone had a great time. Here is what I wore.

I also did wear my Brown Harris Tweed Argyll but did not need it inside the house

They did a First footing with coal, some silver, bread, and a 18 year old single malt scotch whisky from the Isle of Jura that I bought them last year, everyone really seemed to enjoy it.

It was a really good way to bring in the New Year with my wife by my side surrounded by friends, I hope your New Years Eve/Hogmanay was as wonderful as ours.

Sounds like a great way to ring in the new year. That's a nice relaxed look. As usual, you're well put together.

Ours was quiet. Stayed home and listened to the storm and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach (a mile away.)

Were you just a little "off-kilter here?

This gentleman looks like the perfect first-footer: tall, dark, and carrying good things. I'm glad you and Her Grace had a fun time.
