    Winter is finally here!

Yay! Winter is finally here, and should stick around for Christmas. I actually had to go out and shove the walk a bit this morning. Here is the pic my wife took to show my mother in law that she wasn't making it up that I wore my kilt in the snow.

I grew up in snow country. I know how to shovel snow. I know how to drive in snow. I know how to put a set of chains on tires. I've made snowmen. I own skis. I own parkas and sweaters, and heavy wools.

I'm very glad that I live in Southern California.
Thanks for reminding me just why I like this area so much!

Here in Ireland, it has just been rain. Lots and lots of rain. The other day I looked at a Madison webcam and got really homesick. Everything was covered in snow!!!

So that kilt is it? How heavy? When I wear my kilts in the snow, I always keep my hose pulled up. You must have better circulation than I!

Gotta love snow...till it turns to mush...LOL...It's very pristine when there are few people to mess it up...Can't beat a new snowfall.

We had about 6 inches in the last couple of days, but I'm holding out for the Winter Solstice as the real beginning of winter. This is just a chilly autumn.

They're predicting snow starting tonight for the next three days here. We'll see...
