    wonder of nature/fishing (not kilt)

Just returned from a week-end of sailing, and have to tell you:
We had just arrived and moored up at one of the islands along the coast, must have been close to midnight. Half way down my first Guinness, the water just off to starboard starts boiling with fish - a school of mackerel. I rush down below decks to get my fishing rod, one cast lands me one beautiful specimen - just right for a night snack for two.
The picture is BBQing the fish on the rear deck at 00:42. No kidding when it doesn't get dark in summer

That is a great picture, it must be a completely different world up there. To paraphrase John Lennon:

Daylight at midnight would take quite the getting used to. Looks delicious.

That brings back memories of a sailing trip I had in Lofoten Fjord in June 1998. Getting out of a bar at 0200 and still daylight is a little disconcerting!
