X Marksman Spotted: Dunedin, FL HG
On a very sunny and hot April day in Dunedin, FL I spotted John (Shriner) at the Highland Games. It was a very well put together Highland Games with one of the best opening ceremonies I've seen in a while. Unfortunately I did not stay to long for the heat was getting to me...
I snapped a couple of photos of John, and he's been competing in the athletics in the Highland Games this past season here in Florida.

Yup, he looks like a heavy lift athlete.

And a stylin' one at that, but of course he should be, he's an X Marker!
Great to see members of the forum getting a chance to meet.

Very nice to the both of you, and I can only imagine what liquid refreshment might be in that stylish horned vessel.

If you pause a minute while looking at the fine ladys at the highland games it is interesting who might be in the crowd.

Thank you, for posting the pics.
The first pic is myself and a friend Brian, who less than 6 weeks ago broke his neck at Zephyrhills Highland Games throwing the CABER. (The horn has mostly rum and a little coke.)
Also FYI, the kilt I am wearing just came in on Friday, is a newly designed tartan for the New World Celts. It black with color stripes for the New World and Old World.

Your welcome.
I heard the MC announce the new tartan but did not have a view as to what the tartan looked like. I guess it turns out I had already seen.. I had mistaken your kilt for a Stewart variation, specifically Stewart black. Now that I look at it I see that it is not.
