My Gordon is rougher also however my Cameron is much softer!

As I review the pictures on the WPG site it looks as if the kilts all have a slightly differing fit from regiment to standard ( high waist above the navel touching the first two ribs) I am seriously considering one as my winter kilt can someone advise on the fit my first choice is a Cameron , second would be the bargan Gordon. I do not want to wast WPG time on this if the fit is not for me.

I have a black watch kilt from WPG, and I agree with all of the previous comments, including the "caveats". It is a great value for the money, is a heavy weight 22 oz kilt, the fit is very good, and I have enjoyed it very, very much. I also wear it for reenacting [WW2 era]. It is not a custom, hand sewn kilt, but it wears very close to one. The service from the company has been very good as well. I say go for it!

You will be pleased with a WPG kilt in the winter winds.

FWIW, there's a guy named Bradley in Aspen, CO who skis on telemark skis, a single pole (whatever they are called), and a WPG kilt. I have seen him skiing full-tilt down the moguls in January. Nulty can tell you what the temps are in the area are like in January....
