    1st Kilted Escapade on Campus.

So, after going through orientation days and two full weeks of classes, I finally got around to donning a kilt on campus this past Saturday. Was the perfect weather for the USAK Casual and I enjoyed a good day spent with a couple friends.

We wandered around my sprawling campus for awhile, and explored a bit of a wooded area, and then went to the football game for a little bit, but it started to drizzle so then we went inside.

Not too many comments, but I did take note of a handful of confused stares and one rather flabbergasted gentleman.

    AHA, got pictures! (below)

Good work! I've found that my fellow students and most of the faculty are pretty accepting of sartorial eccentricities. Then again, this is southern California.

not the best photos but they're better than none. Kilt is my USAK Casual in the Colquhoun tartan, the hose are my red casual pair hand-knit by my mother (I LOVE THEM, and it's a shame these pictures don't show the stitch detail), and the sporran is my odd mutant sort of day/casual/dressy thingy. (an economy sporran from SW faced with rabbit fur and punched with a Cross emblem)

That is a sharp looking tartan. Congrats on being kilted in kollege!
And having the woods close by will come in handy for all the sticks you'll need to fight the women off. Though I would suggest hand-to-hand combat.
