1st non Celtic wearing of my kilt

I had a successfull wearing of my Ancient Lamont to a Non Celtic event. So far I have only worn my kilt to Highland games or Celtic events where other kilties would be in attendence.

This was to my company Christmas party this Sat evening, most people didn't know I owned a kilt. All went well. Had lots of questions from my co-workers but all positive. I am the oldest of our group and obviously the kookiest. Several people in the restraunt smiled and stared but no comments.

Oh ya I wore a red Santa hat.. My bar tab was filed under McSanta.

Congrats on wearing it on the outside! Sounds like you had a great time! But wouldn't it be Santa MacChlaus?

It was the bartender who set up the name not I. Yes that would have been a better choice but this was a sportbar, not a Celtic hangout. I smiled when they brought my bill.

the editor of our company newsletter works for our division, now she (her words) has a second photo of me in a dress. We had a event one summer that came with instructions to come in Hawiian dress..not knowing any other kind of Hawiian dress... I wore a grass skirt.

I try to follow the rules. I didnt wear the coconuts as I thought that might be offensive to our less endowed female employees..

    I'm old.
    I hike.
I wear kilts to my school's parties.
The bartender at my usual pub always puts my tab under "Bill O'Skirt"
    I'm kooky.

You must be my long-lost twin!

Now that you've expressed your kiltedness in a non-games environment, there's no turning back, friend.

Sounds like a good time, good for you.

Good on ya, now that you've ventured outside the celtic events there is no stopping you. The addiction will start to take hold.
