    1st time out kilted...Nice!

So I wore the kilt out for the first time today...the black/khaki that I made...the reactions are often hilarious aren't they? A couple of older gentlemen asked me where I got my kilt, one old guy was about to pee himself from seeing a guy in a skirt....and yes...the ladies dig it....gotta love it! Two young ladies were trying not to be noticed following me, until I looked them both up and down thoroughly...smiled and winked...blushed 'em both to the roots of their hair...fun stuff1

Since my wife was picking up some fabric for various itte crafts her and the girls are working on, I had to pick up fabric out of boredom for more kilts...Wally world had a bolt of Carrhart duck...so I guess I am making myself a Carrhart kilt...I guess that would be Redneck Dress Tartan Modern...

Picked up a few yards of Army digi camo too...I think I might set that into the pleats of a box pleated Khaki...I don't really dig the solid digital thing...

    Wearing of the Kilt

Yes...the ladies dig it. I am amazed at the amount of attention I get from the ladies. Mind you, I am a happily married 50 year old. And the ladies are indeed ladies, but the comments are very positive. I have to admit that I like a little flattery over my kilt. Keep wearing them.

The wife and I are already talking about a roadtrip to Ashevegas in spring...I want to hit the farmers market for a good supply of the gnasty cheddar they carry, and I want to come down to the Museum...Just ordered Barb's book from you guys yesterday...

Now if she will just get off the bloody sewing machine so I can finish my next kilt....

i wore mine for the first time in a few months i decided to wear it low and on the hips like shorts with a t-shirt untucked... i must say i look better this way then wearing it up on the waist with a shirt tucked in, the length is just right, and its a thrifty kilt from SWK in a a gordon tartan

The duck softened up nicely in the wash...the twill I am making now has so much sizing in it it is like plywood...that is after I washed it twice..jeez...

I am putting the belt loops on it now..i'll have it done tomorrow..kilt #3!
