Addiction has flared up

After my introduction to traditional kilts last month (a Stillwater Black heavyweight & Stillwater 2006 Nightstalker standard) my addiction has flared up.

I have ordered more Stillwaters: Black Watch 2006 Wool Heavyweight, Black Stewart 2006 Standard, and Hunting McLeod 2006 Standard. Plus I'm planning to get the Royal Stewart and the Irish National when the 2006 models are available.

I love the Stillwaters and the traditional styling. Nice kilts at a great price for disabled guys on a budget like me.

So, I may be hobbling along with a walker due to my recent back surgery, but I'll be hobbling along in style. I'm saying goodbye to several of my Sportkilts that I'm listing on e-bay. Amazing that for me, a Stillwater standard is less expensive than a SportKilt with belt loops and sewn down pleats. Wish I had known about Stillwater sooner. Oh well, lesson learned.

Now the jonesing begins. Thank goodness for Stillwater's short delivery time. I've become a kiltoholic and I not aware of any cure.

It sounds like your off to a good start! Now all you need is more hose,flashes and sporrans. Some more shrts and jackets would be nice too.

Aye! Yesterday I ordered my first UtiliKilt! (this means first non-wool/non-plaid kilt as well) Otto was very pleasant to talk with. I ordered an Olive Original. UPS tracking says I should get it Tuesday. That seems F-O-R-E-V-E-R away. Dang, I hate waiting!

I'm having a major addiction flare-up right now. In just a few weeks I've ordered 2 USA kilts premium kilts with matching plaids & flashes and one 2006 model Stillwater. It can't have happened in a stretch of more than 2.5 weeks!

Thanks for reminding me. I did mean to look for some more kilt hose, and I have found myself lurking around e-bay looking at jackets.

If they had slots machine is Vegas where you won a new kilt by matching 3 tartans, I would be in big trouble. :-)

I visited the doctor today and he confirmed I suffer from KDD - Kilt Deficit Disorder. He told me to buy two kilts and call him in the morning ;-)

Well you were warned of the addictive nature of kilts, so what can I say?

I met a guy who was wheelchair bound, he saw right away how good a kilt would be in his position and says he wants one.
I guess any disability would be helped greatly being kilted.

Graham, it sure has helped me. I've told all the doctors and physical therapists how much it has helped, and they have seen the benefits. I didn't tell them how addictive they are though. If they recommend them to their patients, I'll let them take the blame for the addictions that develop. Well, on second thought maybe I better tell them that they are addictive. Don't want doctors getting blamed, and having health care costs going up because of it. :smile:

Had the staples removed from my back yesterday (ouch!), and the surgeon remarked how much he liked my kilt.

I've got two traditionals due within the next two weeks: a 13 oz cilt from Alexis Malcolm and a 16 oz special order strome from Kathy Lare. Time is passing so slowly that I sometimes feel like I could snatch bullets out of mid-air while I'm waiting. Think I'm jonesing much?
