Sounds close to what I'll be wearing this Saturday, except instead of tux shirt and bowtie it'll be white dress shirt and necktie.

I love that Maple leaf tartan! I'm considering abandoning my US citizenship and getting a kilt in that tartan.
Anyways, are you going to wear a tux jacket too? or just the shirt? I would think a black/charcoal jacket with that would look great, but I'm partial to jackets with kilts.

But cannot that be because one part of our mind, that which we act with, becomes prejudiced through experience and still we keep another part completly open to observe and judge with?[/COLOR][/I]

instead of the tux shirt and bow tie, how about this http://www6.sears.ca/webapp/wcs/stor...ctId=158508209 in black of course. Other than that, maybe make some flashes to match the ML kilt. You can find ML in most fabric stores.

I know for my grad dress event(less than 3 weeks away), I'm going with a Prince Charlie (with vest and bowtie, all rented), sporran, hose, flashes, dress shoes. If you can rent a jacket if you're opposed to buying one, it's not a bad diea, I feel.

If you haven't got it in your budget to rent Colin had a great suggestion. I know the first time I wore a kilt formally I didn't have anything but a sporran so I went out got a nice dress shirt ,tie and matched my hose to my shirt it went well, whatever way you go you'll still be lookin good your in a kilt man!!!!!!!
