    Advice needed on Sporan Cantle

I am trying to find a source for sporan cantles. I am having a dress sporan made of silver fox. Can anyone recommend a supplier of sporan cantles?

I can't afford to have a cantle custom made, nor can I afford silver. My choices would be limited to chrome or pewter. If I do get pewter, I'm wondering if I need to get matching chains on the sporan belt. Any suggestions would be welcome.

For cantles you can try Josh at Skye Highland Outfitters or Bryce at Lythgoe Sporrans

They're not noted for their ability to return emails, but they do make an excellent product.

I'm glad you mentioned Clan Art. As it turns out, I did email them and did NOT get a reply. I did like the products I saw on their web site. So, perhaps I'll contact them again and see if they respond. In fairness, I contacted them on the weekend, and they may not have had enough time to get back to me.

Unfortunately, the best bet is to actually call them by phone. It's a few bucks for international phone fees, but you DO get an answer.

I talked to Alexis Malcom of Alexis Malcom Kilts today. She may be able to get me what I am looking for. But, it may be that her sporan supplier is unable to supply just a cantle. So, I'm still interested in checking out potential suppliers.

I have not bought cantles from him, but I am happy with the products I have purchased from Lythgoe sporrans. Check out www.lythgoesporrans.webs.com or www.utkilts.com

ClanArt do have nice cantles. I managed to get a catalogue from them once, but communication isn't their particular forté!

I bought a cantle from Stillwater kilts a few years back. I don't know if they still sell them.
