almost caused a wreck...standing still
yesterday I visited the soon-to-open Celtic shop here in tulsa to order a sporran. I wore my new Irish Saffron heavyweight from SWK. I was about to leave, talking to the proprietor, and he looked in awe over my shoulder and pointed to the road.
I turned my head to see a fairly young woman driving a VW bug convertable, trying as hard a possible to get her head to turn all the way around to get a better look at the kilt. she swerved a bit, almost hitting another car..and sped off.
It would have not been much of a deal, if it were anywhere but in a very narrow street in a very busy part of town!
should I send messages to auto makers to include a warning about trying to drive and look at guys in kilt at the same time?

Kilt, Tulsa, VW, Female, so many elements in this sort of coincidental event. I'd bet it could never happen again

Last spring in downtown Stratford Ontario, a car almost rear-ended another in front of us on Ontario street but.... it was a young guy driving the car and staring at me. He managed to stop, but it could have been a very embarrassing situation.

the House of Celts will be at 1515 S. 15th street in Tulsa, OK. I know the owner, and I think this shop will do quite well.
The grand opening of the shop will be on the weekend of November 4th. There will be a block party with all kinds of fun and games going on!
I hope any of you who will be in the Tulsa area can make it out to the party!

HAHA! Great wee story! I almost caused a wreck this way once. But, I wasn't kilted and there was an 8 foot Bermese python atop my shoulders!
