    This is almost kilt related!

Does anyone know of any events in Arkansas where I can wear my new kilt? Being new to the community, I know of no recurring Scottish or Celtic events in my home state or nearby states (mostly Mississippi an Louisiana for me).

Of course, I will be wearing my kilt for other reasons, but I still want to experience some event/games for myself.

So, do I get to change my kilt count when I have saved half the money to buy my next or when I get all the money together and actually order it? Either way, I'm getting close to 1.5!

Do what I do: gather a few friends to go out to a pub and wear your kilt.

No can do...there aren't any reputable pubs in southeast Arkansas...a few seedy bars, but one with a law enforcement background might not survive an evening out there, even if well armed! (especially not in a kilt) But thanks anyway!

I copied them to my favorites, else I will forget how to get back to them later. Thanks!

Been trying to start a Kilt night the 2nd Monday of the month at Creegen's Irish Pub in North Little Rock. You are welcome to come up and join us. As to festivals, there is one at Lyons College in Batesville in April. The one in Minden, LA., also in April, is probably closer to you.

I'll keep that in mind (but where is Creegen's). I don't usually go to Central Arkansas during the week, but I could make an exception for a chance to hang out with other kilt wearers.

Downtown, Broadway and Main St. At the foot of the Broadway bridge, going over to Little Rock. We meet at 7 PM. Only about three or four of us at this point, but we will grow. This is also the night a group of musicians gather to play Irish music. Rather imprompto, I've seen as few as 4 and as many as 10. A fair number of people come just to hear them play.

Am I going to have to come up there one weekend and kilt up? I could possibly talk a few bikers from the western side of the state to come out too... Might as well do it right...lol

The Oklahoma Scottish Festival is coming up soon on Sept. 19 & 20 in Tulsa, not too far away from Arkansas.
